Grigory Lyubomirski (1865-1937) was Russian composer and musicologist. He graduated at the Moscow Conservatorium where he studied with Kashkina, Hubert, Taneyev and Arensky. In the 1890s he became a teacher of music theory and history in Kiev. Only a very few of his compositions are well-known nowadays among which the Danses Orientales. Dutch arranger Marcel Baars made a transcription for Symphonic Band of the Danse Orientale No. 1.
