It would be rash to suggest that Bruckner's few piano works entitle him to much consideration as a composer were it not for the interesting view of the composer's workshop that one or two of them give. 'Erinnerung' ('Remembrance') is the best of them and dates from around 1868, thus falling between the first and second symphonies in chronology. It's a beautiful small piece with simple grandeur in a romantic style. Dutch arranger Rolf Verbeek transcribed this work for Symphonic Wind Orchestra.
