The main theme in this piece I did not actually composes myself, it was my daughter Olivia. In a very dreamy moment she sung the little melody to the tune of a clarinet. This little tune has got me. This little tune has got me though her nature, which was created in a childlike dreaminess. I was so intrigued that I unconditionally had to take it for my piece and there out I developed the individual sentences. In this same feeling, the title of this work was also created. In all three sets I combined this melody with my own ideas. Whereas the first movement (Introduction) is rather worn, the second set was developed for a very stomping dance. The third movement is a powerful chant that combines Olivia’s melody and the other themes of the project which leads to the great and powerful sound. I dedicate this piece to my daughter Olivia, it was created for an assignment of the Lucerne Cantonal Music Association. (Edition Symphonic Works)
