Pablo de Sarasate was not only a great violin player but a composer as well and because of that it´s quite logic that the violin plays an important role in his work. In 1885 de Sarasate composed his ‘Muiñeira, thème montagnard varié’ for Violin and Orchestra. It became together with the ‘Carmen Fantasy’ and ‘Zigeunerweisen’ one of his most well known pieces. Belgian arranger Yorick de Bruycker transcribed ‘Muiñeira’ for Violin with accompaniment of a Symphonic Band.
