For the 150 year jubilee of the ‘Royal Swedish Academy of Music’ in 1921, Swedish composer Wilhelm Stenhammar composed the symphonic cantata ‘Sången’ (The Song). ‘Sången’ has 2 movements of which the 2nd movements starts with an orchestral interlude that even nowadays is performed frequently. Dutch arranger Andre Bodin transcribed this ‘Interlude from Sången’ for Symphonic Band.
